Today, RJH students spent part of the day giving back to the community through service projects, including helping at the Rossville Public Library and cleaning up the Toad Strangler Trail. Proud of our students for representing our school and community well. Go Dawgs!
Yesterday the RJSHS Class of 2026 visited the RGS Kindergarten Class of 2038—coming full circle to where it all started. Kindergarteners wrote “Dear Senior” letters, and our seniors responded and read them aloud. A special moment for everyone involved. Go Dawgs!!!

Today we celebrated the incredible staff of Rossville Jr/Sr High School!
As part of the celebration, Mr. Curt Brecheisen was recognized as he retires after 34 years of dedicated service to our students, school, and community. His impact as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and administrator will be felt for years to come.
We also proudly recognized Cindy Schmersey as our Support Staff Member of the Year and Eammon Bradley as our Teacher of the Year!
Congratulations to all on these well-deserved honors, and thank you for the difference you make every day for our students and school community.

Rossville Jr/Sr High School is excited to announce the hiring of Joshua Gomez as the new Head Boys Basketball Coach.
Coach Gomez brings a strong background in education and athletics, having served as a Physical Education teacher and basketball coach in the Seaman School District since 2015. Most recently Coach Gomez was a key member of the Vikings Basketball program as Boys Varsity Assistant to Head Coach Craig Cox.
Coach Gomez helped guide the program to significant success, finishing third in the 2026 5A State Championships. His experience, commitment to student athletes, and understanding of building a competitive program make him an excellent fit to lead Dawgs Basketball.
“I’m very thankful for the opportunity to lead this program and look forward to building on the success that’s already been established. I can’t wait to meet the players and get to work. We understand the expectations are high, and we’re excited to not only meet them, but exceed them. Thank you to the Rossville community for this opportunity.” - Coach Gomez
